This small-scale museum in the Shatila refugee camp (Beirut, Lebanon) was scheduled to be digitised by our photographer at the end of September 2024. However, due to the Israeli invasion a few days earlier, the museum was closed on the agreed date and its owner, Dr Mohammad al Khatib, had fled.
For this reason, only the three photographs taken the week before by photojournalist Philippe Pernot are available.
Dit kleinschalige museum in het vluchtelingenkamp Shatila (Beirut, Libanon) zou eind september 2024 door onze fotograaf gedigitaliseerd worden. Maar vanwege de Israëlische inval enkele dagen daarvóór bleek op de afgesproken datum het museum gesloten en de eigenaar, dr. Mohammad al Khatib, gevlucht.
Daarom slechts de drie foto’s die de week daarvóór door fotojournalist Philippe Pernot zijn gemaakt.
